Falcons List Julio Jones as Questionable for Week 2

ATLANTA, GA – Despite it being late April and no NFL games having been played yet this year, the Atlanta Falcons have officially listed All-Pro Wide Receiver Julio Jones as questionable for the second game of their 2021 season.
“We felt this was the safest call to make,” said first-year Falcons head coach Arthur Smith. “In all likelihood, Julio is going to get banged up a bit in our first game this September and we just don’t have an estimate on his availability for this Sunday.”
Fantasy managers who plan to draft the talented Jones this year should act accordingly when it comes to their lineups. The 32-year-old has been among the most dominant pass-catchers for the entirety of the past decade, but is no stranger to missing a game from time to time – and is frequently a game-time decision. Jones missed seven games in 2020.
Based on what the Falcons are saying, Jones is going to get a bit banged up in Week 1. While we don’t know what part of Jones’ body is injured yet or even who they will be playing Week 1, fantasy football players must be aware of this news and adjust rankings for Jones and his teammates Calvin Ridley, Hayden Hurst, and Matt Ryan accordingly.
