Rashard Mendenhall Unable To Find Kicker For All-Black Football Team
Former Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back Rashard Mendenhall initiated a heated discussion on social media Monday when he furiously stated he was tired of ordinary white people commenting on football and invited an all-white football team to play against an all-black team. The proposition has now become a reality, with Mendenhall representing black people (The all-white team’s representative is Tim Tebow). Mendenhall unfortunately ran into a disparate situation when he was building his roster that he will be without a kicker. “I put together the best representation of black people I could on the field,” said Mendenhall. “I got Cam [Newton] at quarterback, and he’ll be throwing to DeAndre Hopkins, Randy Moss, and Tyreek Hill. So that should get me about 17 touchdowns against Jason Sehorn’s slow ass. But I’m going to be without a kicker, so we better nail our 2-point conversions or we’re screwed. The whites apparently got the Bosa brothers to agree to play and they got that look in their eye. That’s gonna be a problem.” While they will have Marquette King at punter, odds are they probably won’t need him. Tebow stated the all-white team would be relying on Justin Tucker to knock home multiple 50-yarders to keep them in it, as well as using a deadly combo of Christian McCaffrey, Peyton Hillis, and Mike Alstott to run the clock out should the opportunity present itself. At press time, Asian representative Younghoe Koo was checking with Mendenhall on if Kyler Murray met the criteria to join his squad alongside Hines Ward.
