Rookie Comparisons: Marvin Harrison Jr. Reminds Me Of A Certain Former Colts Star…Reggie Wayne
With the 2024 NFL Draft approaching, it’s a necessity to compare incoming rookies to NFL players. No player should ever be comped to an average player, they have to all get comped to Pro Bowlers at minimum. That being said, when I watch Marvin Harrison, Jr. out of Ohio State, I get glimpses of a former Indianapolis Colts superstar WR. Yep, you probably already know where I’m going with this one…wink wink. It’s Reggie Wayne! From the way Harrison, Jr. runs routes to the way he looks, every subliminal thought of him makes me go “Indianapolis Colts, 2000s, Hall Of Famer, Peyton Manning, jersey number in the high 80s, et cetera.” It’s just second nature to visualize Harrison, Jr. as the type of receiver that caught an insane number of passes from The Sheriff back at ol’ Lucas Oil Stadium. I should mention that I’ve shared this comparison with my analyst buddies, who all have the same reaction: calling my immediate family and letting them know I may have dyslexia or early-onset dementia, which is odd. I guess they can’t handle my uber-accurate comps! For my next article, I’ll tell you guys why Frank Gore, Jr’s player comparison is Willis McGahee.
