Fantasy Gazette CEO Fired From Day Job
Hello Gazetters, and happy Friday. I have been fired from my day job.
I am honored to have thousands of you read this special entry to the Fantasy Gazette. It is with a heavy heart I announce I got fired from my day job.
My goal since 2021 has been to bring humor into this fantasy football space. It has been a dream to write comedy and I currently have no plans to stop, despite Elon ruining Twitter (the main source of Gazette growth) and the recent firing from my day job.
Perhaps this article itself is just me wanting an outlet to talk about this. There’s not a ton of reason for you to read it unless you truly love the Gazette (thanks), but yet I’m still writing it.
I typed up a long paragraph with details and tea, but decided before publishing it wouldn’t be right to try and defend myself or give those details.
I was doing creative marketing, but not in the right place or for the right people. The exit was unceremonious, hurtful, and confusing.
I’m saddened but happy to be out of an environment that was not good for my sanity and long-term wellbeing. Maybe this will actually make Fantasy Gazette better! Who knows?
That said, I’m looking for employment! I am good at writing and fantasy analysis. I can inject humor into what I do and do it successfully. I expect $250,000/year minimum plus benefits and a company car (this also applies if I work remotely). Please contact me if you know of any work or want to work together in the fantasy space.
Thank you, Gazetters. Josiah out.
