Man Who Thinks David Montgomery only Succeeded from Easy Schedule Absolutely Loves Jonathan Taylor

BLOOMINGTON, IN – While debating his running back rankings, local fantasy football player Marcus Johnson criticized Chicago’s David Montgomery for his success due to an easy schedule, then immediately called Jonathan Taylor “the next superstar running back.” Both players were elite in the final games of 2020 – mostly against horrible defenses.
In Montgomery’s final six games, he played six defenses that were 27th or worse against running backs. Taylor only played five.
“Montgomery got lucky,” Johnson said. “He played great against the worst run defenses at the end of last season. That being said, I am absolutely stoked about Jonathan Taylor after he played great against the worst run defenses at the end of last season.”
We asked Johnson about the similar schedules. Johnson’s response? David Montgomery dominated against Green Bay, Houston, and Jacksonville, because they were bad at defense. Taylor dominated against Green Bay, Houston, and Jacksonville because he is an incredibly good running back.
At press time, Johnson had moved on to talking about unsustainable touchdown rates. “Justin Herbert scored way too many TDs with his opportunities last year. That can’t be repeated,” said Johnson before praising Washington’s Antonio Gibson as his RB1 in 2021.
